The 2013-2014 OU Common Scholarship Application, including Financial Aid, Sooner Heritage, Retention Scholarships, and others, is now available to admitted undergraduate and graduate OU students!
Types of Aid
The University of Oklahoma Financial Aid Services offers many federal, state and institutional financial aid programs. Financial Aid can be a combination of grants, scholarships, work-study and loans. Grants and scholarships are considered "free money" and do not require re-payment. Work-study allows eligible students to earn money by working on campus or with local private or public nonprofit agencies. Student loans do require repayment, typically after the student is no longer enrolled at least half time.Financial aid is considered any resource that can help pay for college. Students must apply for financial aid using the FREE Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Aid is awarded first come first served while funds remain.
